Viking Stainless Steel 8-Inch Bread Knife Use this 8-inch bread knife to slice through bread cleanly and easily. Its serrated blade allows the knife to cut through crisp bread with soft interiors without compressing the pieces. Made in Germany with authentic old world craftsmanship, it is constructed of high-carbon chromium-vanadium stainless steel, which has been ice-hardened to increase durability and retain sharpness. The knife has one piece hot drop forged construction. Its hand ground cutting edge means optimum performance. This knife has a polyxymethylene handle with fiberglass reinforcement and a full tang running the length of the handle, which means that the grip conforms to the shape and follows the outline of the steel. The handle has triple rivet construction for durability. Hand washing is recommended, and the knife should be sharpened periodically to remain in perfect condition.
