Here's the scene: you're attempting to slice the magnificent chocolate praline cheesecake you've slaved over for hours. Instead of the knife slipping easily through the creamy cake, you find it pulling great chunks of cheesecake along with it, making for a messy and disappointing presentation. Ah, if only you'd had this knife, it would have been a different story altogether. The serrated blade and cut out sections allow the knife to glide through cheesecake or angel's food cake gracefully. Works for "sticky" cheese like chevre and Brie too. It also makes a fabulous tomato knife, just ask Mary Ann Esposito who uses one on her PBS cooking show!
